UFC Fight Night 40: Brown vs. Silva

UFC Fight Night 40 is going down Saturday May 10 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s the UFC’s first event in the city since UFC 77 in 2007. In the main event Matt "The Immortal" Brown ( 18 - 11 - 0) looks for his seventh straight win when he takes on Erick "Indio" Silva (16 - 4 - 0), a frequent fight-night bonus winner who looks to build off a recent knockout win over Takenori Sato. Both Brown and Silva love to stand and trade and go for broke, as evidenced by their lack of decisions.

In the co-main event Lorenz "The Monsoon" Larkin (14 - 2 - 0) steps into the octagon to face Constantinos Philippou (14 - 2 - 0). Philippou is coming off his last two losses to Luke Rockhold and Francis Carmont. While Larkin is coming off a loss to Brad Tavares at UFC Fight Night 35 back in January.

Neil Magny (9 - 3 - 0) finds himself higher on the fight card than he has been in a while. Magny will be facing off against Tim "The Dirty Bird" Means (20 - 5 - 1). Magny is looking to keep the "W's" coming from his decision win against Gasan Umalatov at UFC 169 on Feb 1st. However, with Means heavy hands coming off his past two wins he will give Magny a challenge in this matchup.

The rest of the card all looks like great match-ups as well. Check out the full fight card below.

Roberts is looking forward to testing his skills against the veteran, Wallhead, he said: "Fighting in front of my friends, family and fans in my adopted hometown again for a top organisation is going to be special, and I’m looking forward to welcoming Jimmy Wallhead into one of the toughest welterweight divisions in the world."

“He is a very well-respected fighter and is one of the biggest names in the sport in the UK. This is going to be one that people won’t want to miss.”

UFC 172: Jones vs. Teixeira Full Fight Card And Extended Preview

April 26th can't get here any faster! UFC 172 is going down with Jon Jones defending his light heavyweight title in a clash against Glover Teixeira in the main event of the night. UFC 172 takes place at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

Champion Jon Jones puts his 10-fight win streak on the line to face the explosive Glover Teixeira, who hasn't suffered a loss since 2006 and now riding a 20 fight win streak. Jones' last outing resulted in a controversial win against Alexander Gustafsson in a 5 round battle at UFC 165. Gustafsson put Jones in a position he had never been in before, which has led fans wanting to see these two go at it again. In the time being however, Teixeira is the one that he will have to face first. Jones is going out there with the mindset of domination and Teixeira is also confident in his abilities to take that belt away from Jones.

Teixeira spoke on Inside MMA saying: "I have the power to beat him. I have to believe my skills are gonna work against his skills. People always tell me, 'Oh, you need to bring this guy or that guy to [emulate] Jon Jones,' but I don't really worry about him. In my mind, he's gonna have to worry about what I'm gonna do with him. He's the champion, but I believe in my skills and I believe that on April 26 I'm gonna go [to Baltimore] and knock this guy out."

If the main event doesn't excite you enough the remainder of the card surely will. In the co-main event Phil Davis will continue to try to establish himself as a title contender in the light heavyweight division. Davis will be going head to head with Anthony Johnson, who will, if wins put him back on the map in the UFC.

The one and only woman's fight will pit Bethe Correia against Jessamyn Duke in a bantamweight clash. Duke is coming off a win over Peggy Morgan last November at the TUF 18 Finale. Correia made her octagon debut in December of 2013 at UFC Fight Night 33 in which she took a split decision win over WMMA pioneer Julie Kedzie.
